we are paying for the lack of depth IMHO. We don't have the players far enough in the development stage to be able to make plays in the last 5 minutes of the game, when it counts most. I am not quitting on this team and I hope you don't either.

That said, we are getting close to point that we need to play for next year. Take our lumps with the new guys, but get them the experience they will need for next year. Sorry, you don't get better watching, you got to play when it counts.

The older Hokies might remember there was a guy in the state of Virginia that won multiple National Championships in college football. His name was Hank Norton and he coached Ferrum Junior College (what it used to be). Hank's goal was to win a National Championship and to do it he had to go undefeated. So if Hank lost a game, I don't care how good the QB played, even if the defense lost the game, Hank would sit the sophomore QB and start playing the Freshman, QB so that he could win it the next year. I think we are getting close to that situation. I think soon we may have to take our lumps and play some young guys a lot more, that will be here next year and make us better next year. I am not saying don't start all the last year guys, but we sure need to not be starting from scratch next year.

Maybe I am alone on this, but that's how I am starting to feel.
