VT at one time was more of a basketball school than it was a football..

School but that's not saying a lot. We've never been consistently good at basketball.

Jim Weaver as AD didn't give a tinker's damn about basketball. He had been on Joe Paterno's sraff at Penn State and all he cared about was the football program. The rest of the sporrs at VT weren't important to him. The majority of the money coming in fed the football program.

It's amazing to me that for two years everyone loved Mike Young, but they have a bad season in year three and people are starting to cry that he's in over his heas and are comparing him to Fuente. That he was a lazy hire.

Again, he's not on the hot seat and Babcock is not going to be fired.
