No COLA for us lol

There used to be a training Bn that lived in quonset huts in the corner of the MCRD beside the San Diego Airport. I think they got rid of that area of the base. In 1967, we ALL knew where we were headed and that turned out to be the best duty I had on my enlistment.

I was never stationed permanently at Pendleton, but went through there temporarily a couple of times. In 1991 I made up for the fun I had missed in 1967 when I had a couple weeks there after the ground war ended and before being released from active duty ... that time with lots of cash in my pocket. heh heh
