Shock jock or political grifter has been a big money maker for years


It's an exaggerated form of what the current events comedians used to do but with a lot of anger. Since it is satire, there are exaggerations and omission of facts that go into developing the premise of a joke. Probably why there are more people openly expressing anger in public. They can't tell the difference between entertainment and news.

New channels MSNBC and FOX blur the lines because they use this form of presentation to some extent in their Maddow and Carlson programs.

Written news is usually more informative since the body of the article will often disclose facts that contradict or mitigate the headlines.
