Interesting Fact of the Day for Softball - Career Batting Averages


I'm doing some research for my season softball preview and decided to take a quick look at career stats.

Three of the top four career batting average leaders for the Hokies will be on this year's team:

.389 Kelsey Brown - 2020-21
.384 Jenna Rhodes - 2006-09
.356 Jayme Bailey - 2019-21
.349 Kelsey Bennett - 2019-21

And Darby Trull actually gives this year's team four of the Top 9 in batting average:

.347 Michelle Meadows - 1997-00
.333 Kelly Brown - 2003-06
.333 Emma Strouth - 2016-19
.332 Jennifer McKibben - 1997-98
.328 Darby Trull - 2018-21
