If the Bills go 1 for 3 with 13 seconds left, they win

13 seconds left.
1. No pooch kick to the 10 or 15 yd line.
2. 4 down lineman on play 1.
3. 4 down lineman on play 2

As the Buffalo DC, you know Mahomes has to release the ball quick with 13 seconds left, so the chances of a sack or pressure are basically zero. Again, he has to release the ball, so you have 3 down lineman, maybe even 2 down lineman and drop 1 to 2 more in coverage with help on Kelsey.

They went 0 for 3 with 13 seconds or less left in the game. If they go 1 for 3, just get one of the 3 decisions above right, odds are overwhelmingly likely they win. As big as the failure to kick the ball to the 10 or 15 yds line on the kickoff was, the decision to play 4 down lineman not only once, but doing it two times was far more of a disaster and a poor choice. Check this out, they had TWO TIMES to think about the choice of 4 down lineman. After the kickoff, you have time to think. After the first KC play, a timeout was called and they again had time to think. They rinsed and repeated both times with 4 down lineman for some unknown incredible reason, and it cost them their season, all done within a 13 second timeframe.

Bad choices, especially for an NFL coaching staff. ** -- Bburg Mac 01/24/2022 10:52AM
