Yes!
I was really (pleasantly) surprised that Pedulla was allowed to come in after Alleyne's turnover-fest in the last few mins of the game. And Pedulla was money with those FTs. So why MY put Alleyne BACK in for the critical last sequence was baffling. If it was for defense... Alleyne did exactly what you are not supposed to do on the last play. First goal there was to deny his man from attempting a 3. Second goal is if the man does attempt a 3, do not leave your feet and risk a foul. Third goal is if you leave your feet, do not jump toward the shooter. NA did all three, and started that sequence by letting Smith blow right by him.
What exactly is the rationale for Alleyne's minutes and shot attempts? He has the lowest FG% of anyone on the team who seeings meaningful playing time. Maddox is a better spot up shooter. Pedulla is a better ballhandler. Cattoor is a better defender. Ojiako and N'Guessan are better rebounders. Depending on matchups and game situation, any of those players gives you something Alleyne cannot. I just don't get why the game evidence continues to mount and the coach continues to look the other way.
