The kid pushes all the boundaries on purpose to see how the new teacher reacts and what they can get away with. They know exactly what they are doing and they make a big show of it as part of the test. Any sign of weakness or overreaction and the kid will know that they have found something that they can use in the future.

In this case, he is testing our new staff (and somewhat our fan base as well by doing it publicly on twitter). Any signs of negative push back and he can use that to steer kids away from VT in the future. Or if he likes the response then it could be in our favor to steer kids to VT.

But I think he knows exactly what he is doing. He knows how colleges operate and that not every coach is going to go to a single high school. This is public posturing and a test.
