My deep dive assessment of Coach Pry from his Conference today.
At the start the Paper stack is at the front, pen to right slightly un-parallel to paper, the calculator is turned to 30 degrees, and the paperclip is perpendicular to the calculator.
Step 1 - Adjust Paperclip to be parallel to side of the calculator.
Step 2 - Try to adjust pen parallel to paper but mishandle it.
Step 3 - Adjust papers to be in alignment in front.
Step 4 - Make bottom of paper edge aligned with edge of desk (essentially at zero degrees)
Step 5 - Move paperclip from parallel to side of calculator to parallel to top of calculator.
Step 6 - Move pen up away from paper stack, as it was miss-aligned.
Step 7 - Grab paperclip from atop the calculator, then become aware and put it back, parallel to top of calculator.
Step 8 - Grab paperclip, rotate in hand, place back parallel to top of calculator.
Step 9 - Repeat step 8.
Step 10 - Repeat step 8 again.
Step 11 - Adjust papers slightly making them just slightly off from parallel to the desk.
Step 12 - Go for the paperclip again, put it back down parallel to the top of the calculator.
Step 13 - Go for the paperclip again, flip it, put it back down parallel to the top of the calculator.
Major adjustment starts.
Step 14 - Adjust the Calculator from 30 degrees to 0 degrees, parallel to the papers.
Step 15 - Adjust the paperclip to parallel to top of calculator.
Step 16 - Slightly adjust Calculator once again.
Step 17 - Slightly readjust the paperclip.
Step 18 - Adjust papers back to parallel to the desk.
Step 19 - Activate phone
Major adjustment starts.
Step 20 - Adjust calculator, push it upward and to right.
Step 21 - Adjust paperclip back to parallel with top of calculator
Step 20 - Readjust calculator, pushing it slightly more upward and to right.
Step 22 - Readjust paperclip back to parallel with top of calculator
Step 23 - Move papers, slightly away from parallel from desk and move back to parallel.
Major Adjustment starts.
Step 24 - Picks up papers in front of him, moves to left of calculator at about 20 degree tilt.
Step 25 - Moves Calculator from zero degrees to 20 degree tilt parallel to papers.
Step 26 - Moves paperclip back to parallel with top of calculator.
Step 27 - Move pen from his right back to left on top of papers, parallel with edge of papers.
Step 28 - Looks at alignment of paper, pen, calculator, and paperclip, seems satisfied.
Note: During entire conference, numerous sips from a cup, and ZERO bottle crinkles.
From these actions I think we can tell several things about Coach Pry.
#1 - He likes to keep tweaking things when he sees things he does not like.
#2 - He does not mind shaking things up more than once, to get things straightened out.
#3 - Once he sees things going well, he is smart enough to leave them alone.
#4 - He is aware of the previous staff's shortcomings, and wants to learn from their mistakes.
#5 - He is good at geometry and probably an above average pool player.
