Both VT and NC State would be a financial loss for SEC, after their next


TV deal, if it is in the range predicted. Miami and maybe even FSU could end up being a bad financial investment for the SEC. The problem with too many big time programs is they bring the average up so high that anyone else brings it back down. A school is going to need to add close to 100 million annually to be of value to the SEC. Not many options for SEC expansion going forward without schools taking a cut in payouts to make it happen.
