Cal, Kansas, and Michigan were all winnable games and VT managed


to crap the bed in those games. Even though Auburn was a very talented team, VT needed to win that game to really gain any street cred as a P5 football program. A win over Auburn should be the type of game that helps propel a program to that next level. While a win over Georgia would have been nice, I'm not sure it would have helped propel the program to that next level like a win over Auburn would have done. Oh well just another what might have been exercise.
