“One of the key observations is that people who are exposed to the strain appear to get sick more quickly.

Delta’s incubation period was about four days, and the original variant had an incubation period of about five days, across the general population.

“Whereas with Delta, patients might not develop symptoms until four or five days after infection, with Omicron, [patients] maybe are developing symptoms within two to three days after infection,” Miller said.

Several studies of Omicron that have come out in recent weeks suggest it takes the variant about three days to develop symptoms after exposure.”

Several comments:

It’s seems that every government entity in the world has been giving conflicting directives concerning this virus.

This is my cut:

1) A vaccine card does not mean that you do not have Omicron and, therefore, you might be asymptomatic or in the infectious stage just prior to the onset of symptoms and give it to anyone who has been vaccinated.

2) PCR tests are not 100% accurate … I’ve seen 70 to 85% accuracy and the rapid tests are only 55 to 60% accurate.

3) Omicron is so infectious that one might not know that they have been in contact with person that is infected with Covid.

This directive seems to be little more than a feel good directive, as it would do little to prevent the Omicron spread among the attendees in a closed facility, IMO.
