Seems like "oldies" stations in the 80's played music from the 50's and

60's, not from the 30's and 40's.

But any hard rock or adult contemporary radio station is going to pull music from as far back as the 70's (maybe even 60's with the Beatles) these days without branding themselves as an oldies station.

Granted, all that assumes anyone even listens to a radio station anymore instead of just streaming what they want.
