What killed me about it, was all the people complaining on


twitter asking for help and complaining that they were stranded. They had a decision to drive that day, and a little awareness could have helped them avoid that mess.

But on a different topic, in the future, I bet smart, connected cars (on the level of a tesla), should be able to send instantaneous data about slippery conditions to a central database, precisely pinpointing where road conditions are deteriorating. then, they could either address that spot, or provide the right information to avoid the spots altogether. But then again, humans will human and will get stuck anyway.
