What I saw was a team not ready to play and take that next step

First you have UNC who got killed and was looking to take revenge on someone for it. That happened to be us. Then you have a team that honestly got complacent again thinking that we are better than what we are and did not come prepared to take the next step into being a good team. We are very good discussing about it to everyone but don't seem to prove it much, especially this year. On the other hand, this is only the first loss in ACC play and there are a lot of things to learn from this game and to improve on. We still have the rest of the season to turn it around, it is just one loss. Granted, I was expecting us to lose this game, but not by the margin we did. Honestly it seems to me like we are lacking discipline at times when things are not going well. This goes back to accountability and I am not sure if that is on the players or coaches or both. With this being said, who knows how many opportunities we are going to get to just win games for the rest of the season the way COVID has been. We have to take advantage of the chances we get. Honestly I am really disappointed, but in a way I was expecting this. What makes it worse is the talent level on this team should not be struggling in this way. Someone mentioned on her that Bonnie's teams had less talent and had more success at times. I agree, we have to use the good talent we have or it is pointless to talk about the fact that we have good players. All that does is make us look worse for losing in the way we do at times. Just a frustrated but hopeful fan here! They can either take this loss and run with it in a positive or negative direction. We will see what happens. By the way I don't care how long the layoff was, this was embarrassing. I can see a 10 point loss but not this.
