Many reasons why top QBs would pick VT. Evans was a top QB (#1 juco QB) so you're wrong there.

BTW, "Top 20" didn't appear in your post, so why do you get to change it now?
Also, "last 10 years" didn't appear in your post, so why do you get to add that now?

With ~400 college QBs - how many have potential to be a top QB at some point at VT? Nobody knows, but under the right coaching, let's just say a lot more than 20!

My point was that top QBs (from HS or portal) have many reasons to choose VT.

Hooker had lots of potential, highly rated in HS and had he been properly coached/groomed while at VT he could have been a top QB here and NFL draft pick. Ditto for QP - highly rated, lots of potential, not properly coached/groomed at all. Unfortunately, Hooker's now a pretty good (potentially top rated QB next year) at TN. QP might have never been NFL prospect as a QB, but he could have been 2nd coming of Tebow had he been played like Tebow was as a frosh from day 1 on goal line/short yardage plays for VT. Nobody will ever know, since he didn't get the chance. Unfortunately, Brewer and BB got hurt way too much, but had potential to perform better had they stayed healthy. Evans broke QB records at VT, brought us to ACC Championship in one year, had he stayed another year - who knows, we might have won ACC Championship and VT could have made playoffs - we'll never know. My point stands. There are many reasons why top QBs (or any other top athlete) would choose VT. And I wasn't talking about last 10 years anyway - most of those had Beamer at end of his tenure and then CJF was the salesman. I was talking about the future. Right now we are rebuilding, but "I get really tired of idiotic posts like yours" that act like VT has nothing to offer - your wrong - we just have to have the right people marketing what we do have to offer. Hopefully now we do.
