I will have to disagree

Winning is a very overrated argument for recruiting. Texas, Missouri, Stanford, UNC, Auburn, and FSU all had top 20 recruiting classes and losing records. In fact, several of those have 3+ years of mediocre to losing records.

In 2012, on the eve of Clemson becoming a powerhouse team, they lost to WVU 33-70. I watched that game and, frankly, WVU, could have scored 100 pts.

Maryland's benefits from strong recruiters and they may attempt to use the loss as proof their team is on the rise, but when they only win 6 or 7 games next year, it won't carry much weight for long.

The key remains - how good our Pry and team at recruiting and selling VT. Very little from the past 6 years matters. We are already hearing (and seeing the results of) Pry's team repairing bridges with the VHSL coaches. Let's see if he can extend his efforts into MD, NC, and GA. I think he can.
