I don't have an answer to this, BUT would highly suggest

you invest into an app like Life360. Has all sorts of features for stalking (er tracking) your kids. My wife has it on her phone and all the kids phones. The coolest feature is seeing how the perform when driving or riding with someone else. Shows heavy acceleration, hard braking, phone usage during driving, etc...

I think it's a deterrent for our kids to not act like idiots when in the car away from us knowing big brother is watching.
