Jimbo's decision to opt out is not aging well here in TX. It's clear in


hindsight that covid was not the issue though it was cited as the reason. A&M decided to pull out ten days prior which was plenty of time for any positives to go through protocol. Player opt outs and injuries were the issue but mostly they were down to their third string QB. Issues that many bowl teams face without A&M's annual top ten recruiting classes. One can only surmise Jimbo didn't like the optics of losing to WFU. Letters to the Chronicle editor are getting increasingly critical, some calling them the "Aggie quitters".
