Same here, Two of the Behr deck product,


Power spray first, even (almost) to the point of tearing the wood up.

Wait for a really some really dry days in summer and let it really dry and just lay it on so the the wood absorbs as much as possible, even let it pool for a while then spread it out. 2nd coat won't get absorbed as much but a good layer in warm weather and let it dry. 2 coats for places that can catch water ie, horizontal surfaces, one's fine for vertical surfaces. Unless you're changing colors. Like Onco, the newer deck stuff "plasticizes" the world as opposed to just staining it like in years past.

I usually plan on five year cycles. Had the deck 30 years, looking good.
