The key to this team is Alleyne (sorry missed the thread below)

Aluma and Mutts will do stuff to help the team win..whether they have good or bad games, whether or not Alluma is bothered by size or not. these two will do things.

Cattoor will make shots and play defense. He will help control the ball. Sometimes the ball needs to find him more, but he will help the team.

Murphy? A mixed bag. His erratic PG play and ineffectiveness at times contributed to some early losses and will be a factor in league play, but we know what we have with him.

Other players like N'Gessan, Padulla, Maddox, etc are key for depth, scoring off the bench, not letting leads or deficits grow.

But Alleyne is the key. He has two negative qualities that can hurt the team:
1. He is prone to going 1-for 8, 2-for-10. just not hitting shots at all. He will hit some big ones during the season and help us win some games. So he is important. But he is prone to wild swings where he can't hit, the offense doesn't score and ..

2. He is prone to being out of control. When he does try to drive, he is wild and erratic. His feet are too far apart, he is herky-jerky, and doesn't keep the ball close. One possession in the first half exemplifies it. He had the ball at the left side of the TOK, tried to juke, tried to go left and then right,. and slipped and fell.. I think there might have been slight contact on the play and maybe a foul was called I don't remember. But 90% of the play was him simply trying to do too much 1-on-1 stuff without actually going anywhere.

Offensively, he can score and he CAN get into the lane for his awkward pull up jumpers. But when he is off, he is off. If he isn't consistent, then the offense won't be consistent
