YouTube announced they would drop the channels and reduce the price.


So it seems logical that since YouTube had already informed their customers about the removal of the channel and the price reduction that they were fully prepared to go through with it. This move by YouTube seemed to call Disney's bluff. I could be wrong, but that's what makes most sense to me.
