The number declaring is far larger than the number who will make the NFL


Far too many players, regardless of school, vastly overestimate their chances of being drafted or catching on with an NFL team as an UDFA. They already made it through a severe selection process going from high school to college as an athlete and think they are stars.. they underestimate the talent that surrounds them and overestimate their own. Bad combo

In fact, NCAA surveys reveal that an astonishingly delusional 60-65% of college football players think they will make the NFL. According the NCAA, only 1.6% actually do.. oof
