If we're to take him at his word...and no reason not to, IMO...
..then he values the HBCU experience, and the JSU community. And he wants to be the catalyst for more top kids to choose HBCUs.
All that seems mighty noble and worthwhile to me.
And no, it won't hurt his future prospects, NFL or otherwise at all. Honestly, He'll probably actually get a better education while he's enrolled at JSU than he would at FSU...
