There’s something about Young’s system/philosophy that’s bothering me. I

can’t put my finger on it.

His finesse offensive philosophy almost seems “too rigid”, too constrained, if you will.
It’s almost like there’s too much waiting for the perfect pass or shot, when a “good” pass or shot will still work in quite a bit of the possessions.

Perfect being the enemy of good.

If it’s on, it can be really on. But if it’s off, it can be REALLY off. And other teams, especially physical ones, throw his whole philosophy off.

I know good coaches who don’t get the best players in the country have to have some philosophy that differentiates them, or they’re just “everybody else”, and that’s Mike’s philosophy that makes him different, but something is just totally off with VT Bball right now.

Or I could be full of shlt…. there’s always that probability -:)
