The snapper just drilled the ball right up in his his grill unexpectedly (made a great catch BTW). He took off and picked up the first down. In real time, it looked like he wasn't sure if he got to the line to gain or not, when he clearly did. But based on the interview, what he must have been confused about was how he ended up with the ball in the first place. Unreal.

They didn't go into detail, but either the snapper heard a call on the LOS that didn't happen, or a call was made and the upback didn't hear it. Just nuts.
