One uncle was a naval officer in the late 50s, early 60s.
A first cousin of mom's was a Marine aviator. He was the first designated naval aviator in the family. I was the second.
I had two first cousins who enlisted in the navy. One nuke power, and the other was a gas turbine guy...so both went into propulsion.
I was the third officer, and the second naval aviator in the family.
Other cousins and relatives were in the army, national guard, army reserves, etc.
