That's what makes me think this was more than about sex.

The fact that she pretended to be a 22-year-old makes me believe she felt the need to be able to pass as a 22-year-old. I'm guessing that made her feel younger. If she just wanted sex with younger guys, she could have just said "hey I'm a single 48-year-old looking for some young men" and I'm sure she would have found plenty of college kids that would have taken her up on her offer.
