And we thought 2020 might just burst that bubble.


Oh wait, it didn't. But surely there must be a ceiling at some point. I reckon Alabama, with it's warped sense of priority, will be the first to reach that ceiling and shortly after that most of us are going to get real bored watching them win their 10th straight NC. In the end it's just entertainment but not so much if Alabama stays in a league of their own.

Secondly, the sport is now a study in hypocrisy. NIL is pay for play by most definitions, fewer players are graduating, and it's harder and harder to think of them as student-athletes. As that connection weakens so has my interest (I'm a purist and sick about it) and overall demand for the game.
