It’s really fun to have new faces and enthusiasm around the program


Just wish they didn’t have to play any games and ruin it.

Seriously, though, coaching college football is really, really difficult and most newcomers fail. And it looks like Carolina, Pittsburgh, Miami, and others are on the ascendancy. Meanwhile, our cupboard for next year looks pretty bare.

I don’t think we talk enough about how critical the portal has become in college football. We could turn the program around very quickly with a big haul from the portal. Or not. Getting a top-notch quarterback would be huge. How about that dude from LSU? I hope some rumors will start floating soon, that would be even more fun. Let’s get that rumor mill going, it can be just like the coaching search, it doesn’t have to have any foundation in truth.
