SIR: I agree with D. Clawson that the NCAA needs to address the “fake”


slide like Pickett did last night. It would have to be subjective, up to an official to determine if a player starts to “give up” or if he is faking to gain an advantage. It’s in the game to protect players, if they can fake it, the defense is not going to pull up and someone is going to get hurt. It should be deemed unsportsmanlike and be a 15 yd penalty.
Pickett admitted that he was trying trick the defenders.
