Backstory- Riverwife fired a woman 9 years ago. Long & short of it was that the woman was defrauding a state agency and a county agency. Not big money, but it was clearly fraud.

So, back then after being fired, the woman starts texting my wife with not really threats, but insults. This went on a bit, and Riverwife alerted the authorities. It stopped.

Thanksgiving night ~week ago, she gets a text. Something like. "I'll never forget." ?? Riverwife calls the number (and they answer, LOL), and she recognizes the voice as that woman's husband.

A past co-worker got a similar message that night, and had also been subject to harassment.

Well, night before last, someone sneaks over and simply cuts the wires on a light display Riverwife had set up (two small 4' evergreens wrapped in white lights and set to a solar cell and remote). Snip.

No way of knowing but we've never had neighborhood kids do stuff like that. We think it was this woman. No proof though (I don't have a camera out there). She lives clear on the other side of RVA; this would be (if her) the first time she'd ventured to my turf.

We just feel sad for the woman. All these years of harboring anger and hate for something she did to herself.
