Yes, his last two years at Wofford they played what was essentially
an odd front 2-3 zone. A 1-1-3 (which is an alignment that can be used for a number of zone defensive concepts) which just followed rules for a basic 2-3 zone. He would run it out of timeouts, on side outs and in set situations- didn't really transition back to it off of misses.
Other than doing that off and on for years some of his teams (and I'm going off of memory here) played some zones with different looks from maybe 2007-2010 or so. Some halfcourt traps, 2-3, 3-2 etc. I have followed Coach Young for a long time but I can't remember any of his teams being primarily zone teams but he has mixed it in up until his last year at Wofford.
