Memphis D forced us to execute at a higher level and we didn't...
For example - nobody has contested the entry pass to the high post the way Memphis did tonight. There was not alot of room for error for what most consider an easy pass.
This game we had to make decisions a little quicker. We needed to play right up to the edge of being out of control but not be out of control. Sometimes we went over that edge. By the end of the game I think we were getting better at playing at the edge without being out of control but were too tired.
But this was good. Hard to simulate this athletic and long defensive pressure in practice. But next time we see this kind of defensive pressure we will be better prepared to beat it. The proof will be later in the season when we have another game like this.
