The superstructure “island” that the amidships turret sits on seems


to be closer to the port side, but maybe that’s a shadow. It could have been to accommodate magazine storage but that installation must have affected the stability and ride of the ship. That’s really odd. Any MEs or AOEs out there take Naval Architecture with Dr. Szeles? Really nice guy who never changed his exams and went easy on me because I had a Hungarian last name.
