Some VT fans and media have been comparing Chadwell to a Fuente like hire. A group of 5 head coach that is hot right now. I would encourage any fan to watch a Jamey Chadwell interview, his demeanor on the sideline and the locker room. In my opinion there is no comparison at all. Chadwell is the polar opposite of Fuente. I would agree the resume may not check all the boxes Whit spoke of a the press conference. VT fans also need to be just a little realistic with this hire. We are not getting a top tier power 5 coach in Blacksburg so forget that. We need someone young who will infuse excitement, build some of their own traditions and create a culture that has been lacking. Yes Chadwell is a gamble, no question. I say roll the dice and see what happens. We don't have to break the bank to get him so he seems like a great fit to me.
