He would have been successful.....
at a higher level, in my opinion. However, he would have never done a better job than what he did for Salem. His ability to meld Willis' old staff with his guys and keep winning without missing a beat is undervalued, IMO, as odd as that may seem given all of his accolades. I am sure there were times in private where things got dicey but, to the head coach's credit all was relatively calm in public view. Pretty much akin to the description of a duck gliding effortlessly atop the water but, paddling like hell beneath.
