I'm starting to feel like we really are getting a solid support for our football program now.
Whit indicated the process started a year or two ago, and continues, as VT's committment to football grows stronger, and now some big donors have been coming up to the plate giving Whit the needed leverage to go after a top caliber coach and fully fund the staffing.

If we can get the right personality with the needed experience and energy, we could be getting ready to take a significant step forward as a program.

Whit sounds like he is planning to focus on key areas for his selection like personality, connections to strong recruiting areas regionally, and someone capabile of building a program that is capable of matching the Hokie fan base expectations.

I have a feeling we will be feeling pretty good come January, but let's see how this unfolds.
