Imo they are bringing in plenty of talent


aside from 2021 they have a nice run of top 25 classes going. Their 2022 class is ranked #11

That talent is just not panning out in their defensive system (and therefore doesn't get much playing time) or is defensive oriented talent that can't score

As a result they've turned to the transfer portal, and have brought in multiple top-tier transfers (Hauser, Murphy, Gardner, Franklin) to bolster their ability to score points. The problem with those guys is that they aren't around long enough to really master the system.
