I've read what CC has said, and have followed his career and wish him the best of luckBUT

If they bring him in .and he fails.that will just be a freaking ugly situation for VT and him. And I can see folks going after Frank asking him stupid questions and he goes all "Outta Wack 2.0" on the media and it just paints everything in a bad light and gives good people negative publicity.

I would rather just roll the dice for the next coach (or 2!) and let Beamer's legacy (and Bud's, for that matter) stay intact for VT lore. It was a phenomenal run and have so much appreciation for that. We don't have that cloud that 'Pedo U' or other situations exist over a legendary coach, so let's move on and move forward. Let the kid branch out and make his own name and not lure him backobviously it's his choice if we offer, but being an old fart I honestly hate it and don't want to see it.

I would love to see Shane surpass Lane (Kiffen) in the SEC at some point (if Lane still exists). Would be proud of that

EDIT: I deleted paragraphs about Monty Kiffen so that's why there is a non-sequitur about Lane...Monte was a beast DC like Bud...
