It feels like Fuente had been told previously that he would not be retained

but out of respect, Whit gave him the option to choose when he left. After a big win at home on Senior Day, this seemed like a good time to go out on a high note.
It would seem odd that this decision was just made now after our best game of the season. Fuente and Whit respect each other - I would be shocked if it was a meeting gone sour type of thing.
