Thought the TD was borderline-think most refs call that 2 for Sam only.


If u call the take down at the point the ref did, then yes Sam was on his back 2 seconds so 2 near fall.

It was loud and it's possible Sam wasn't aware the takedown was given. I know everyone around me wasn't aware 2 and 2 had been called and was confused by the score .

I'm just not sure what changed in their position to award the takedown when it was given. Maybe it was scooping the leg, but have seen that position keep going with no points many times.
