He was hell-bent on getting to 30k undergrad enrollment.


There was a plan to do it over a number of years. The University then, for unknown reasons, employees a new "model" as to how many students to accept an offer admissions to. Far more accepted that offer than they had room for. And, voila, we're at 30,000 undergraduate students far ahead of the schedule. It's what resulted in students having to live in hotels as dormitories a couple years back. He doesn't give a damn that the town infrastructure needs to grow a bit along with the University. His concern is just the University. They then blamed the new model. Never mind the old statistical model had worked for years, actually decades.
