I am saddened by the rumor that the decision has been made.

I really wanted the decision to be made at the end of the season, or at least toward the end of the season, based on the full body of work.
It would suck to watch everything come together now, and we get a 9-4 season, and then lose Fuente, the entire stable of assistants, our special teams, our recruits for 2022, and start over, only to most likely watch the next staff struggle with the same resources.
I bet UVA is salivating at the thought of the Hokies hitting the reset button and dumping everything in the trashcan.
Oh well. Maybe this fanbase needs to go through 5 or 10 years of 0 to 4 win seasons to appreciate what Fuente was trying to build.
Hope it does not come to that!! I'm going to Whistle past the graveyard and hope the Fuente rumor does not come to pass.
