That didn't answer Ox question

At all...

In fact - it more proves the point that he had limited resources when hired and that hasn't changed. Can't compare names as much as salaries, what better options exist for Corn and staff existing salaries? Corn makes, less than 500k I think. Tony Elliot at 2 mil a year. Which offense is better? Which has more talent (who is doing more with less)? Point being - we don't have 2 mil for a coordinator.

We already discussed this - you seem to have an incorrect view of the finances of the program; which were rough pre-Fu. Didn't see it as much in recruiting because Beamer and Foster were legacy recruiting on their reputations. In fact, there were souring HS coaches on VT program after Cavanaugh was gone. Fuente didn't help the situation in the earlier years to priotize a remedy. Seems to be turning a corner with the newest hires.

The fundamental logic for me: Why is the expectation for Fu to have done more with less? He didn't so he needs to go. Bring in someone new - give him more money for assistants and such than Fu ever had - how is that a solution? Ask Miami, FSU, and the majority of other schools how that works out every 3 to 4 years.

Again, not saying Fu is perfect by any means - just seems like he isn't the weakest link in the program. That seems to be funding - which is progressing; large part thanks to Fu finally applying pressure to AD about the vast divide between BU and VT resources.

I'd think a clean house of the OC is forced - if Fu refuses then he gone (I do think a general restructure of contract with mild extension as to not get snubbed recruiting, and dropping both yearly and buyout salaries - advertised as "Fu is bought in" as he loses a million a year to get pushed into assistant salaries would buy him some good will from fanbase). Hard part is generally the Oline hasn't been a big issue - VV seems to have earned keep with evaluating recruits and developing talent. As CC mentioned - Lectenburg guys have been working out (Herbert, Blackshear, Thomas), Shibest maybe shift to solely ST - though TE look "ok" and Keene and Mitchell seemed studs. WR - seems many would vote to replace. So....ehich OC comes in basically with a 1 year turn around expected - and can maybe pull 2 of their own coaches....and work with existing guys? To me...the best case fit here is Holman Wiggins - can we afford to buy him away from Bama? Is he ready? He certainly looked amazing with the recievers at Memphis under Fu, really good here when he was at VT...and how many Bama receivers have hit the 1st Rd under him...like 4?
