Yes and no...


Frazier came from from a defensive-minded program at K-State under Bruce Weber. So he most definitely taught defensive principles to the players, which is invaluable when VT was a young team.

However, VT primarily defended ball screens the way MY defended them when he was at Wofford. Certainly, Frazier helped VT become multiple and dynamic in how they could defend screens based on a scout, but a solid 75% of the team has had 2 yeads of defensive coaching from Frazier under the principles MY preaches.

So the principles will remain the same (or close to the same) and the older players and remaining staff can do the instruction. MJ also isnt a defensive slouch by any means.
