FU doesn't have the backing of the people that have the money. While I'm not necessarily in favor of it, there are two things that a head coach has to do: 1. Win games or 2. Make the donors happy. He isn't doing either of those things.
Fuente is non-existent when it comes to donor outreach. He just isn't a personable guy in that respect. Not everyone is and that is fine. But that might mean that a head coaching position isn't for you. It's part of the game. You know how many times Beamer was out the door when the donors came in with additional monies to keep him? The donors like Beamer. He was part of the community. It sounds cheesy, but Fuente isn't out in the community rubbing elbows. So now, he isn't winning and he doesn't have that many relationships to fall back on when it comes to people that could pony up bucks.
