That's the trait of a great athlete.
The speed at which you process visual information. In sports, and especially basketball, the field of play and all the moving parts is constantly changing. The great athlete can see all the parts (players) and make the optimal decision at lightning speed.
Larry Bird was great at this. He wasn't fast or quick and not real agile but he played like he was seeing things in slow motion. Like he had eyes in the back of his head. Like he could see things before they happen.
