Full Metal Jacket is on Flix.


First and only movie I've ever seen that correctly illustrates the USMC DI. Remember watching it and thinking whoever was playing the DI really nailed the role. Completely shocked.

Years later I discovered R.Lee Ermey was in the USMC, and had done a tour as a DI.

A lot of what they said, and what they had us doing was hilarious. I was shocked they could maintain a straight face.

The rifle drill was spot on. My class heard every line in the movie...lol
