Actually VT won that game..

at least according to HokieSports.com (link). Temple forfeited because of the use of an illegal player (it was Paul Palmer I believe).

The forfeit made it VT's first 10 win season (other than season opening loss to Cincinnati....and there was a tie with South Carolina).

But this has been argued out on this board before. Apparently there is other documentation that shows VT losing the game. Temple took the loss on their record but VT did not get the (forfeit) "win."

But that "10 win year" was VT's first so that's the way I like to remember it.
